    Contractors for your new Deck

When it comes to hiring contractors for new deck construction, it’s important to choose a company that is experienced and knowledgeable. Our professionals are experienced in building new decks, and they are familiar with all different products, services and deck materials.

    When to replace your deck?

Many decks can last for decades before you need to replace them, but you may need to make repairs much sooner than that. For example, wood can become damaged from elements, insects or just use over the years. Cracks in the wood, broken boards or holes can mean it’s time to replace damaged wood. Your deck should be sturdy and strong. If you see even one spot of rot in your wooden deck, it’s important to inspect the entire deck, as it can destabilize your deck. It’s also important all fixtures and fittings are holding your deck together. If you have an old deck it can weaken over time. It’s important to replace broken fittings. There can also be mold on your deck from moisture that it’s exposed to. If you see mushroom-like mold or fungal growth, it can damage your deck. Clear off mold immediately and treat the wood with a stain.

    Attached Deck

An attached deck is similar to a patio. The only difference is that it’s made from wood or wood composite decking materials. Wood composite decking materials are the best you can get. An attached deck is slightly raised and usually attached to the back of an L-shaped or U-shaped house. You will get more living space and if you add an overhead roof it can even offer shade.

    Multilevel Deck

Do you have a large property or does it change in elevation? A multi-tier deck or two-story deck would be the perfect choice for you. With a multi-tier deck you will have different levels of decking that will be connected, by steps or paths. It maximizes your space, creates distinct spaces on different levels and it can act as an elaborate, beautiful design on its own.

    Rooftop Deck

Have you always dreamed of a rooftop deck? A rooftop deck is a deck on top of your garage, which is a great idea if you have a flat roof. It is important to make sure you hire the right persons to ensure your deck will be stable and safe. They will test all structural and engineering aspects.
With a rooftop deck you have better views than ground-level decks, more privacy and a nice breeze as the deck is elevated. You can choose from different designs, shapes and levels so you can create your perfect and unique rooftop deck for your home.

    Decking Materials

Usually decks are made from wood. The most common wood choices are cedar, Ipe (exotic hardwood) and pressure-treated wood. If you want material that has higher resistance to rotting and insects, you could consider Cedar and Ipe. Pressure-treated wood is more water- and moisture resistant. Additional decking materials can be composite. Composite decks are made of wood and resin, last very long and don’t need to be sealed or stained. Polymer decks are another durable choice as they are made of PVC. Each type of decking materials has its pros and cons, so it’s best to speak with an expert. We work with experienced professionals who can answer all your questions.
